BEFORE:
Really can't provide before pictures since the new water closet was carved out of the space between the library and the living room. A new door from the living room opens into the closet sized space where the bathroom was in the prior owners private quarters.
DURING:
Since we planned on a marble floor, we removed the old flooring so that the thicker marble would be level with the rest of the house. This revealed the 12x12 inch center beam of the house. They didn't have iron I beams in 1870!.
Of course we didn't plan ahead when we originally sheet-rocked the room so we had to open up the wall again to put in a solid backing for the pedistal sink.
Solid subfloor installed and ready for tile.
AFTER:
